West Clermont’s commitment to safety extends beyond the walls of our schools. Through our partnership with Petermann Transportation, we provide safe and reliable bus service to students through a number of safety measures.
First, all of our buses are equipped with interior and exterior cameras as well as a GPS tracking system. The interior cameras help us monitor student activity on the bus while exterior cameras allow us to keep an eye on driving habits. The GPS tracking system allows us to see the speed at which the bus is traveling, as well as its location at all times.
Second, our drivers are required to do a pre-trip inspection of their vehicle before each route, and they must also do child checks during and after each route. This helps ensure our students are getting on and off the bus safely at each stop. In addition, we have emergency roof hatches and windows on all of our buses in case of an emergency.
Third, we use the Petermann Bus Tracker app for an added layer of communication with our families. This app securely allows parents/guardians to view the location of their child(ren)’s bus in relation to their assigned bus stop as well as provide information about their routes, in near real-time, including the scheduled arrival time of each stop.
We understand that entrusting your child's safety to us is a big responsibility, and we take that very seriously. We hope that these safety measures give you peace of mind knowing that we are doing everything we can to keep your children safe while they are in our care, whether in our buildings or on our buses.
