This week we are continuing our conversation on investment. By now, you most likely understand that investing in our success is a constant process. There are always ways to refine and expand upon previous investments.
If the pandemic did nothing else, it shed light on just how adaptable we are, particularly when it comes to advancing our modern learning framework. Our ultimate goal is to teach every student to read, write, work with numbers, and leverage technology to maximize their access to future learning experiences and support lifelong learning.
This goal is accomplished – and will continue to be accomplished – by encouraging our educators to improve their abilities to engage and improve the student experience by learning new instructional practices and making learning more personal for each student.
As a district, we are doing our part as well. With our Upward and Onward plan, we are working through a process to modernize our PK-12 math course of study. This process will result in a new curriculum that will be aligned with our Portrait of a Graduate. The new instructional practices and resources will result in better outcomes for our students.
Stay tuned next week for the last in this series of blogs on investing for success.
